Sandra Pitts
Sandy arrived at SORA in 2014 to provide administrative and project support to the development team. She brings more than 20 years of administrative support experience to the office, 15 of which were in municipal government. During that time she was licensed through the State of New Jersey Department of Community affairs as a registered Municipal Clerk and was required to pass state mandated courses on ABC liquor licensing, municipal land use law and budgeting. While appointed as Council on Affordable Housing Municipal Liaison and COAH Trust Fund Monitor, she was also zoning board secretary who collected and maintained developer’s escrow accounts and maintenance bonds, working closely with municipal officials, engineers, attorneys and inspectors.
As a liaison between the developers and the local government Sandy has a unique understanding of the development application process from concept through approval and completion. She uses this unique experience to assist the SORA development team in navigating municipal, county and state land use offices.
